Kia ora e te whanau

We have started into a new phase of New Zealand’s response to COVID-19 and it is very different than anything most of us have ever experienced. As of the 15th April we will be back into online learning after the holiday break at home. If you took a physical learning pack home, unfortunately we cannot go into school to update or replace these, but if you requested further learning packs I have given your names to the MOE who will endeavour to get something out to you. As of the 15th all learning will be online. The MOE are working hard to solve device and accessibility problems for you before then. I will continue to keep you updated through text, email, Facebook, Skool Loop app, and SeeSaw.

Below are the quick links to get you to the information you need. Please keep in mind that your health and safety is paramount during this time, including mental health. Please do not force the learning at home if it is not going well. We are ready and able to pick up where we left off and catch your child up once school is back in. Your relationship with your child/children is of most importance. Spend time with them, play with them and show them lots of love during this uncertain time and they will be just fine.

Welcome to Reporoa Primary School. We are a learning community that caters for years 1 to 6 with a roll of about 110.

Our vision is “Lengthen our stride to become knowing”

This is supported by our mission statement to provide an education that is learner focused, inclusive and supported by productive partnerships.
As a PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) school, at Reporoa Primary School we use our “REPS”. This stands for Respectful, Engaged, Positive, and Striving. We pride ourselves in displaying these values through everything we do.

As a school we value the strong relationships that we have with our parents, whanau and community. We love the small country feel of our school as we are able to know all of our students and personalise their learning, supporting them to achieve success as learners and as people.

We have a committed and friendly staff who have recently developed a new Reporoa School curriculum using SOLO. We are also very excited to trial a STEAM programme in 2018. This will continue to provide excellent learning opportunities for our children. We encourage our children to have a voice in their education so they feel positive about themselves and take ownership of their learning.

Parents and visitors are always welcome in our school. I value open and honest communication at all times. Enjoy exploring our website and feel free to give us feedback too!
